Before installing and configuring the SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) OCF connector, ensure that you configure the network connectivity and set up the service account.

Network Connectivity

Alation uses the on-premise version of Analysis Services. Connect to SSAS to establish the network connectivity from Alation.

To connect to Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services, set the URL property to a valid Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services endpoint and set the authentication. The driver must connect to Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services instances hosted over HTTP with XMLA access. See the Microsoft documentation to configure HTTP access to Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services. To host it over HTTP with XML Access (XMLA), follow the steps described in Access to Analysis Services.

Create a Service Account

Follow the steps in Configure Service Accounts (Analysis Services) and create a Service Account.
