After you install the Fivetran OCF connector, you must configure the connection to the Fivetran data source.
The various steps involved in configuring the Fivetran data source connection settings are:
Configure Authentication¶
Fivetran OCF Connector uses API Key and API Secret.
Prerequisite¶
Before you configure the authentication in Alation, ensure that you:
Collect the necessary connection information.
Create a service account with account administrator role.
Generate an API key and secret in Fivetran and save it for use.
On the Settings page of Fivetran data source, go to the General Settings tab.
Specify the API key and secret for authentication:

Test the Connection¶
The connection test checks connectivity to Fivetran.
To validate the network connectivity, go to General Settings > Test Connection of the Settings page of your Fivetran data source and click Test.
A dialog box appears confirming the status of the connection test.
Configure Logging¶
To set the logging level for your Fivetran OCF data source logs, perform these steps:
On the Settings page of your Fivetran OCF data source, go to General Settings > Connector logs.
Select a logging level for the connector logs and click Save.
The available log levels are based on the Log4j framework.
