Customer Managed Applies to customer-managed instances of Alation

If your infrastructure allows for creation of a complete system snapshot/image, create one before installing the update. Make sure that the image restore process is tested at least once on a test server. After a successful update, you can delete this image.

If your infrastructure does not allow for snapshot/image creation, use the information in Restore from a Backup and test a restore on a test server.
