Overview¶
Alation Cloud Service Applies to Alation Cloud Service instances of Alation
Available from Alation version 2026.4.1
Note
This connector is currently in Beta. Contact connectors@alation.com for installation and enablement.
The connector discovers Microsoft Fabric workspaces and catalogs lakehouses and warehouses in the Alation data catalog. It also auto-provisions companion RDBMS data sources for each workspace, enabling SQL metadata extraction from Fabric SQL Analytics Endpoints.
After the metadata is extracted, it is represented in the data catalog as a hierarchy of catalog pages. Alation users can leverage the full catalog functionality to search for and find the extracted metadata, curate the corresponding catalog pages, create documentation about the data source, and exchange information about it.
