The Curate and Govern page allows for access to the different Governance tools such as the Catalog Activity Report, Curation Progress Report, and the Governance App (Governance Dashboard, Policy Center, Workflow Center, Stewardship Workbench).

The Curate and Govern page allows for access to the different Governance tools such as Analytics Stewardship and the Governance App (Governance Dashboard, Policy Center, Workflow Center, Stewardship Workbench).

Note

The Governance App components are priced additionally. Contact your account manager to learn more about pricing and licensing before enabling the Governance App components. Enabling and disabling the Governance App components in Alation requires the Server Admin role.

Access the Governance Features

To access the Curate and Govern page:

  1. In the left-side navigation panel, click the Curate and Govern icon.

  2. The Curate and Govern landing page opens.

  1. On the top right of the main toolbar, click Apps.

  2. In the menu that opens, click Curate and Govern.

Enable or Disable the Governance App

To enable the Governance App:

  1. Go to Admin Settings > Server Admin > Feature Configuration.

  2. Toggle the Alation Data Governance App feature flag to the On position.

  3. Click the Save changes button. Users may now access the Governance App components from the Curate and Govern landing page.

To disable the Governance App:

  1. Toggle the Alation Data Governance App feature flag to the Off position.

  2. Click the Save changes button. The Governance App components will be hidden from the Curate and Govern landing page.
