Added QLI custom query column validation to the preflight check. When users configure a custom QLI query or custom QLI view, the connector now validates that the query returns the expected column aliases before extraction begins. Missing mandatory columns produce a clear error, missing optional columns produce a warning explaining the impact, and unrecognized columns are flagged. Salesforce OCF Connector incorrectly defines object keys using three-part names (database.schema.table.column) when Salesforce objects only use two-part names (schema.table.column), causing bulk metadata API calls to fail with the following error: Catalog/Database information is missing for record.

The connector now supports Unified Access Token (UAT) authentication for Tableau Cloud. UAT is a JSON Web Token (JWT)-based authentication mechanism managed through the Tableau Cloud Manager (TCM), providing centralized, scope-based authentication as an alternative to Personal Access Tokens.

To use UAT, select Tableau Cloud in the authentication step of the General Settings tab, turn on the Enable Unified Access Token toggle, and enter a signed JWT token. Azure Synapse OCF Connector: Version 1.4.0

Deprecation: Clean Up Source Tags Option

Removal of Clean Up Source Tags Option

The Clean Up Source Tags toggle (Metadata Extraction > Customize extraction scope) is no longer available on the Alation UI. This toggle is no longer required, since tags in Databricks are globally scoped and can be applied across the catalog. As a result, cleanup is automatic, meaning tags removed from the source are automatically deleted from Alation during the next ingestion run. (AL-231545)

Improved Custom MDE Queries

Set the value of HideUnusedColumns to KeyAndValue (under General Settings > Connector Settings > Miscellaneous) to hide unused system-generated columns such as the Message column, while preserving value-schema fields.

However, flattened columns derived from message values remain visible for value topics and you can still control Kafka system metadata columns (Partition, Offset, Timestamp) via the existing configuration.
